1. Who we are

2. What we collect

Account data: your email address and password (handled securely via our authentication provider, Supabase).
Profile data: your subscription status and any profile details you add.
Trading journal data: the trades, notes, screenshots, checklists and mindset entries you choose to log.
Learning data: your progress through lessons and practice exercises.
Billing data: your subscription and payment status. Card and payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor, we never see or store your full card number.
Basic technical data: things like IP address and browser type, used for security and to keep the service running.

3. Why we process it

To create and secure your account, and let you log in.
To provide the core service: storing your journal entries, learning progress and analysis.
To process your subscription payment and manage billing, via Stripe.
To respond to support requests.
To meet legal obligations, such as bookkeeping requirements.

The legal basis for most of this is that it’s necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for), or our legitimate interest in keeping the platform secure and functioning.

4. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal data. We share data only with the processors that make the service work:

Supabase, hosts our database, authentication and file storage.
Stripe, processes subscription payments.

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policy and, where applicable, a data processing agreement with us.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and journal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we’re required to keep certain records (e.g. billing records) for longer under applicable law.

6. Your rights

If you’re in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email support@edgejournal.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and our providers’ own security infrastructure, to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll let you know, for example by email or a notice in the app.
